About REC Trichy and RECT82 Foundation
Originally, REC Trichy started with just three engineering departments: Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Today, the institution boasts 17 departments, supported by over 250 faculty members and hosting a vibrant student body of more than 6,000. The campus spans an impressive 800 acres, making it one of the largest academic campuses in India. The RECT82 Charitable Foundation was established by alumni from the 1982 graduating batch of REC Trichy. The foundation carries forward the legacy and values of the institution, contributing to social causes and community development.
Who We Are
We are an alumnus of Regional Engineering College, Trichy (now known as National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli) of 1977-82 batch. Our alumni are spread across many continents from Australia to USA and hold prestigious positions in their respective fields of excellence.
